I have had the opportunity to see Olajide in action on two occasions. On the first occasion, he was KO'd in the 1st round by the very dangerous Epifanio Mendoza. On the second occasion, Olajide looked very impressive against a decent opponent in Emil Baku, knocking him out in the 4th round.
In this upcoming bout, Olajide faces a fighter with whom I am not very familiar. However, based on Marks' detailed record, I feel that this should be a very easy bout for Olajide. I will list some of my reasons below.
1. Olajide possesses power, which helps to move judges in scoring rounds.
2. Olajide is the better boxer. All of Marks' wins have come against very mediocre opposition.
3. Olajide has youth on his side and has the will to win for this stepping stone title realizing he is still a prospect, while Marks' is on the downside of his career just fighting for supplemental paychecks.
I feel that the line for Olajide has started out at -200 for at least 2 reasons: 1. Olajide is fighting a slightly larger opponent. 2. Olajide does not have much experience going many rounds in his career, whereas Marks does have many rounds under his belt.
I still feel that Olajide will pull this one out. He will most likely have to go the distance to get the victory because Marks has never been KO'd. That's ok though, because as long as one has a loss on their record to Andrew "Six Heads" Lewis, he can be considered to be a garbage fighter anyway.
